Who he is
Ilyan Vladimirov has lived in Dubai for fifteen years. As a producer he has led the launches of hundreds of commercial projects in the UAE: Dolce & Gabbana boutiques in The Dubai Mall, campaigns and events for Versace, Armani Group, Al Tayer Group and Ounass, beauty salons, Revive Seven, podcast and content studios, and many other businesses. In 2019 he founded Eleven Spa at Marriott Al Jaddaf in 2019, the wellness brand he led until selling it in 2023 to focus on BAGHI.
He is also the principal of Spark Digital UAE, a small production studio that has produced campaigns and editorial content for global hospitality clients across the Gulf for over a decade.
He lives between Dubai and the BAGHI slope in Adjara, Georgia, where he has been continuously since 2023.

"Quietness is not a tone. It's an operational discipline."Ilyan Vladimirov
Operating principles
Eight principles that recur across his Dubai openings and the BAGHI slope. Written from observation, not theory.
A great room writes its own menu, its own service rhythm, its own marketing. If the room is wrong, no amount of operational rigour can save it.
A stay built for a single, specific person, name, body, week, eventually becomes the stay everyone remembers. Averages produce average rooms.
Restraint is not aesthetic. It's how the door closes, how the cup is set down, how the wellness lead listens before speaking.
A place is heard before it is seen. If the soundscape (birds, water, voices) is wrong, no visual design rescues it.
A property reveals itself slowly to its first guests, with the team listening. The day-one party is the worst version of the place.
Founder capital first, it forces decisions to be honest. Investor capital comes after the project is already standing on its own.
A small document, updated weekly, that defines how the property speaks. Every email, post and sign passes through it.
The best producers have the longest careers, fifteen years of launching for others before building the one thing that is yours.
Long-form biography
Ilyan moved to the United Arab Emirates in the early 2010s and founded SPARK, a creative production and event marketing agency, during the years when Dubai's luxury sector was expanding fastest.
By the late 2010s the work had moved from producing for others into building his own. In 2019 he founded Eleven Spa at Marriott Al Jaddaf, his most public hospitality brand.
In 2023 he sold the Eleven Spa brand and operating company, and committed full-time to BAGHI, the first personal project of this scale after fifteen years of world-class commercial work for other brands. The product came first: a wellness system built around the problems a guest arrives with. He flew to Georgia, found the slope above Erge village in Adjara, and has been continuously on the land since.
He continues to run Spark Digital UAE as principal: a small production studio that supports a select set of hospitality clients across the Gulf and serves as the editorial home of BAGHI.
His public talks and interviews focus on three areas: the operational rhythm of luxury projects, the voice of small brands, and the soft-opening discipline. He is not active on social media beyond the BAGHI Instagram.
