Five movements. Read in order — the country, the village, the service, the wellness, the hotel. The interactive roadmap at the end shows where we are today and what opens in August 2026 and May 2027.
01 · The country
Georgia is small, mountainous and very old. It sits between the Caucasus and the Black Sea, between Europe and Asia, between two empires that never quite swallowed it. The country writes in its own alphabet — one of fourteen in living use — and counts its first vineyards back eight thousand years.
For the traveller, Georgia is the rare destination that has not been polished. Its capital Tbilisi runs at its own rhythm. Its mountains are walkable. Its coast is undeveloped in the best sense. And its food, its wine and its long evenings have a generosity that older cultures still know how to offer.

02 · The village
Erge is a small mountain settlement in the Khelvachauri municipality of Adjara, above the Chorokhi river. Family houses stand on narrow terraces. The older generation tends gardens and small herds. The rhythm of the day is still set by the village — bread baked in the morning, prayers at midday, neighbours passing on the path.
A small mosque stands a short walk from the slope. The call to prayer carries through the trees five times a day — a soft, distant azan that becomes part of the landscape. Christianity and Islam have been neighbours here for centuries, both lived quietly.
A waterfall sits further up the valley, reached on foot in under an hour. Its sound is faint from the upper terrace of BAGHI, and unmistakable when the wind is right.
Fifteen minutes by road from Batumi International Airport. The drive climbs through walnut and chestnut forest. A private car meets each guest at arrivals.
03 · The service heritage
BAGHI is not a first attempt. It is the quiet output of a long career inside the highest tier of Dubai hospitality — over a thousand launches, dozens of brand collaborations, and ultimately the founding and ownership of Eleven Spa inside Marriott Al Jaddaf.
The protocols, the kitchen briefs, the housekeeping standards, the way guests are met at arrival, the unhurried check-in — all of it carries from a Marriott spa into the BAGHI Lodge. Nothing is improvised. Everything has been done before, on busier days, with more guests, and refined.
What changes is the setting. A forest, a slope, a country whose generosity is still intact. The Dubai discipline of service held inside the Georgian rhythm of the day.

04 · The wellness, drawn from nature
BAGHI's wellness model does not invent its effect — it inherits it from the place. Three rivers below, a forest on three sides, a bamboo grove behind, mountain mist most mornings, the warm wind from the Black Sea most afternoons. The body is being changed by the slope before any practice has begun.

Slow yoga at sunrise, breath practice on the open platform, herbal baths drawn at dusk, fire pits lit at sunset. The wellness lead refines each guest's rhythm against sleep, breath, and the body that arrived — never a generic schedule.
The kitchen mirrors the slope. Wild herbs gathered the same morning, mountain honey, walnut oil, river fish, slow-cooked plates. Anti-inflammatory by default, adapted by program.

05 · The hotel · the concept
A micro-resort by design. The whole property is held at twelve guests at a time, across two Lodge formats — the forest Tent Lodge at 45 m² and the timber Barn Lodge at 23.5 m². Three terraces step down the slope. A reception cafe, the Tqe restaurant in the forest, the spa cluster and the meditation platforms are folded into the geography.

Every stay is a program. Each runs three or five nights. The wellness lead chooses the right one with the guest at check-in — sometimes the one booked, sometimes a different one once the body is in front of them.
All meals, all treatments, all activities, all transfers are inside the stay. The guest buys only a flight ticket. Soft Opening · August 2026 · Public opening · May 2027 — both already bookable through pre-reservation.

A small project, built quietly
BAGHI is being built without bank loans, without development groups, by a small team that has been on this slope for three years. The first guests are already arriving. The wider audience opens in May 2027. We'd like you to be there before it does.
